Trader Vic’s Celebrates 15 years in Abu Dhabi2-10-09

Naushad holds a diploma in Specialization of Food & Beverage Management from the Educational institute of American Hotel & Motel Association. He also holds a diploma in Food & Beverage Management from the Nugegoda Hotel School in Sri Lanka.

Naushad joined the staff at Trader Vic’s in Abu Dhabi in 1994, where he worked for thirteen years. He then took a one year sabbatical to experience and learn from other food & beverage outlets which enabled him to diversify and enhance his management skills. He re-joined Trader Vic’s in Abu Dhabi in September 2008 as General Manager.

As our Abu Dhabi location proudly celebrates its fifteenth anniversary, Trader Vic’s knows it is very fortunate to have such an experienced and able talent at the helm of this very successful operation.

Jimmy Sek
Executive Chef – Trader Vic’s Abu Dhabi

Jimmy Sek is the Executive Chef at Trader Vic’s Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Jimmy completed a Hotel and Catering Management course in Stamford College in Malaysia. He worked for 3 years at Trader Vic’s in Munich, Germany and was part of the opening team at the Hamburg Trader Vic’s in 1990. Jimmy then relocated to London where he trained in the Trader Vic’s kitchen under renowned chef Jacky Laugenie.
In April 1994 Trader Vic’s opened its first location in the Middle East in Abu Dhabi and upon completion of his training in London Jimmy became the Executive Chef of Trader Vic’s of this very popular location. As our Abu Dhabi location proudly celebrates its fifteenth year of operation, Jimmy also celebrates his long and successful 19 year career with Trader Vic’s.
